A licensed practitioner gently inserts ultra-fine needles into specific points along the body to help remove blockages bringing blood flow, oxygen and circulation to the area and restoring balance with in the body. Holistic health is based on the interconnectedness between the physical and the emotional body any lack of balance between the two can result in illness. Holistic Health upholds the theory that all aspects of the mind, body, and spirit need to be in balance; every person and their experience is uniquely different and therefore require the specific and individualized treatment that acupuncture can provide.

DOES ACUPUNCTURE HURT?

Acupuncture is not painful. We use ultra-thin needles though some patients have compared it to feeling like a mosquito bite. Most patients are quite surprised that it isn't painful. Patients are often in a relaxed state and do fall asleep.

ARE THERE ANY SIDE AFFECTS?

No. Occasionally there might be bruising but other than that there are no side affects.

It's best to wear or bring loose clothing so that your extremities are accessible for the treatment.
