MODALITIES

Services: Services

ACUPUNCTURE

The insertion of fine needles into specific points along the body to promote stimulation of Qi( life force) and blood. Acupuncture creates a strong stimulation and "re-boots" the nerve pathways.

CUPPING

A healing modality that is used in Chinese medicine to stimulate blood flow, unblock stagnation, draw blood to the surface and to remove heat toxins from the body. Cupping is used for various reasons, but typically it's used for pain relief, speeding up the recovery time for athletes, reducing the severity of colds and asthma.

ELECTRO-ACUPUNCTURE

A modality that is used to stimulate qi and blood. It activates the sensory and motor nerves and a range of neurotransmitters. It also releases endorphins, targets the central nervous system, reduces inflammation and begins to repair soft tissue.

MOXABUSTION

The application of heat from burning the herb "Mugwort" to certain areas of the body to warm and invigorate blood flow in the body.

TUINA MASSAGE

Chinese massage. It literally means "push and grasp"

GUA SHA

a technique that is used to promote blood flow, resolve acute trauma/illness, and to release toxins created by stagnate heat.
